Rageaholics Anonymous (RA) is a fellowship of men and women who
share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they
may solve their common problem and help others to recover from
rageaholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop
expressing anger compulsively. We come to RA to discover a new way
of life by using the twelve-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous as
adapted for people with anger problems. Through it we find serenity
and acquire peace of mind in spite of the anger
Rage-Anon is a fellowship of
people in relationship with rageaholics whose
primary purpose is to live more fulfilling lives by
focusing on ourselves. Many of us come from families,
personal or business relationships where rageaholism has
resulted in physical or emotional abuse to ourselves or
someone we love. Our past attempts to control the
rageaholic by avoiding, pleasing, or manipulating have
only resulted in disappointment, escalation, or
abandonment. The program of Rage-Anon offers new hope
to those involved with rageaholics by allowing us to
refocus our energies on our own lives, health and
wellbeing. By following the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions,
we at Rage-Anon have made a conscious choice to trade
our despair for new hope and serenity, one day at a
time.
